Aesthetic Resolution ADR Limited (“AR-ADR”) is a UK company set up to provide independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for consumer disputes about private medical aesthetic and cosmetic surgery services supplied by UK-established traders.
Our purpose
To give consumers and traders a fair, accessible and proportionate way to resolve disputes outside court, applying the law of England & Wales (or the relevant UK jurisdiction) and the contract between the parties.
What we do
- Receive applications from consumers who have already complained to a trader.
- Check whether a complaint is eligible under our scheme rules.
- Offer Early Resolution and, where appropriate, full Adjudication.
- Issue reasoned outcomes on a durable medium.
What we do not do
- We do not determine clinical negligence or personal injury damages.
- We are not a regulator. We do not investigate or sanction practitioners.
- We do not provide legal advice. Consumers may seek independent advice if they wish.
Legal basis
AR-ADR is being established as a certified ADR body under UK consumer ADR rules. Approval/accreditation is administered by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) as the UK competent authority. See our approval status page for current standing.
